Kristen joined Hitchcock Evert LLP as an intern in January 2012 and has worked on such varied projects as briefing for genetic patent litigation, trademark enforcement investigations, and copyright licensing. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in December 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Botany, spending much of her undergraduate career as a research assistant in a molecular biology laboratory studying regulatory proteins in the plant lineage. Cultivating her diverse interests, she also obtained a minor in Art History and took courses in business administration.

Kristen received her law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law in May 2016 and was licensed to practice in Texas in November 2016. While at SMU, her coursework included patent law, copyright law, trademarks and business torts, food and drug law, and an advanced seminar on patent litigation. She also served as an editor for the SMU Science and Technology Law Review

Since graduation, Kristen's practice has focused primarily on trademark prosecution and enforcement, domain name disputes, litigation research, and emerging issues in FDA regulation and cybersecurity. She is also licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent Office.
